Trinity, Amherst face-off in NESCAC title game at 2 p.m.

Join Bob Parzych and Paul Femia for all the action of the NESCAC men’s hockey tournament finals as Trinity hosts Amherst College at 2 p.m. on March 6 from the Koeppel Center’s William’s Rink.

Second-seeded Trinity (20-5-1, 15-4-0 NESCAC) defeated Tufts, 5-3, in Saturday’s semifinal where it was seemingly on course to punch its ticket to the finals, at one point leading, 3-0, before Tufts made things more interesting.

In the other semifinal, Amherst knocked off Middlebury, 4-2, to gain its third-straight championship appearance and an opportunity to defend its 2015 title victory.

The winner of the game gains an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament which the Bantams won last season.
