Austin-based Greyhounds were featured on the May 19 edition of Greasy Tracks, which included an interview with the band and a number of tracks from its just-released Cheyenne Valley Drive (Nine Mile Records).
The March 31 edition of Greasy Tracks featured interviews with and the music of guitarists of Stephen Inglis and Scott Sharrard who bring vastly different fret work to the fore in a program that was probably a first for slack-key-meets-blues-guitar stylings.
There will be a double serving of Dixie Dregs music this week on WRTC as hosts Boris and Devo interviewed the original line-up of the band ahead of its March 14 appearance at the Ridgefield Playhouse as part of the “Dawn of the Dregs” tour.
The March 17 edition of Greasy Tracks featured a four-hour special on Gregg Allman, including interviews with former bandmates, friends and those who worked with him over the years. In addition to a wide range of Allman’s solo work, including his posthumous release, Southern Blood, will be played.
Fresh off appearances in France, the Netherlands and Germany, Hartford’s own Balkun Brothers will be at the WRTC studios for an interview and acoustic performance on the Nov. 15 edition of the Boris Rock Show.
