Scaggs, touring in support of his recent release, “Memphis,” spoke in-depth about recording at Royal Studios in Memphis, Tenn. and shared some interesting stories about studio genius Willie Mitchell. He also talked about the 1969 sessions for the now-legendary 13-minute track, “Loan Me a Dime” that was recorded with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section and Duane Allman.
